Articles focused on biblical reasoned health choices in life.
In the Beginning God created the heavens and the earth. We were created as complete beings in our relationship with God, hence Him saying after every day of creation “and it was good” Some people will state that it was perfect. If we remember many times in the bible the meaning of perfect is referring to complete. Or not needing anything else. The earth was complete. The animals were complete, the eco system was complete. It didn’t need any further assistance in pleasing God. However, man needed a helpmeet. So God took a rib from Adam the closest part of the human anatomy right next to the heart. And made a woman from man. She was not less than man, but made from man that like man was the pinnacle of God’s creation woman was although created by God was the pinnacle of man. She would have attributes of man but finer and more delicate and detailed. Adam could possibly see a kinder gentler self in Eve. And she was to be the mother of all mankind.
So that would be the beginning and it doesn’t end there it would be a beautiful story. But Man sinned and disobeyed God. Unlearned in the bible people blame Eve. But God was clear that Eve was deceived and Adam bore the responsibility of bringing sin into the world. I would see his sin as not really the disobedience but rather how he handled his disobedience. He was created in the image of God. and in the God head there is: the holy spirit, Jesus, and God the father. The Holy Spirit the reminder of the law, the word, and comforter and rebuker; Jesus, the merciful, advocate, and government; God the father creator, judge and omnipotent, all knowing. Since they are one none is greater than the other but each having their tasks in the creation, curation, salvation, and judgement and destruction of the earth, and man.
How did the first Adam react to his wife’s deception. He went along with it. His knowledge of the order not to eat of the tree in the midst of the garden was directed to him. She hadn’t been created yet when the order was given. She heard it from him. “Hath God said” was asked of Eve from the devil. how could she respond? She actually didn’t know. she was tricked. Adam knew better. so he went along and ate of the fruit of the tree in the midst of the garden. When they were found out how did they react. Adam blamed the woman but in reality kind of blamed God. Have you ever blamed God for something that happened to you? Anytime a person says “God###it” they are blaming God. See we naturally have inherited Adam’s sin. We blame each other. Eve then blamed the serpent. She learned from Adam. He lead the way, and taught her by his action. Man was made in the image of God in the spiritual image of God to have mercy on his wife. I surmise that is the sin. The first sin perhaps could have been forgiven if The first Adam acted like the second Adam. “Father forgive them for they no not what they are doing” If Adams desire was not for himself perhaps the beginning would be different. However, Man unlike all other creation is given the power of choice. So sin might have always been intended to be available to man, so he would see the value of having a relationship with his creator.
So how is it not our fault that we are sick? We carry a natural inclination to protect self, and an inclination to self gratification. When we combine this with how God designed us to be with spiritually choice, and the “temple” for God’s Spirit to redside, which is our flesh, we have options and consequences to the decisions of our choices. Do you really think that God designed our bodies to be obese? It might appear that way if we compare ourselves amongst ourselves. But if you grew up in the sixties your weight as a 60 year old adult might have been 165 at 5’8”. Do you think God created Adam with a 50 inch girth, weighing 300 lbs, at the height of 5’ 8” tall. Gasping for every breath as the pranced through the garden delighting in each others presence. Him having dandruff, tooth decay. psoriasis, and etc. Perhaps we’re created in the image of a loving father whom had Temperance.
Today many claim to have the Holy Spirit. And only think of a few attributes of the Spirit. But it is one fruit. love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
